Hello Queens!
I'm Suzie a returning Queen. I was an OG Queen having started QDQ in lockdown back on the Insta days!
Fast forward and I've had a baby who is now 12 wks- my very own mini Queen! So I'm trying to get back into fitness and finding my love of it again..
I've naturally gained weight and changed dress sizes. What I love about QDQ is that we focus on feeling good rather than the scales (aka the bitch in the bathroom!) so I'm open to all tips, advice from current queens to get my fitness mojo back.
I've done 3 QDQ workouts this week as I've just loved them so much! I honestly forgot how fun they were...
I'm so glad to be back Queening and look forward to seeing you in the lives!
Hi Susie, I was an OG Queen and let it slack for a little while but got back into it with the Fix Your Crown challenge which is to do 4 workouts a week; 1 HITT, 1 Upper, 1 Lower and 1 Total and I'm back loving it.
My main advice would be listen to your body and go easy on yourself, you just had a Queen 👸 do the workouts you enjoy the most and take breaks if you need to. I find it's important to fit exercise into your day properly rather than trying to rush it in as you won't be able to sustain that. You've got this 👍🏼
@Suzie McDonald Congratulations on your new queen🎉 and massive well done on even considering back to exercise at 12 weeks!!!
Mammy life is crazy and at your stage every day is different, so understand that while you might be wanting a workout it might not happen and that's ok! Maybe pop her in the buggy and get some steps instead!
Also, for me returning I used the library to do some older workouts. The challenge at the min is intense and I felt a bit behind during some of them so when I was tired or my back was sore I smashed a pre challenge workout, got it all done and felt really good about myself again!
You are going to feel great after any workout and that definitely helps the mammy brain! So be kind to yourself above all else❤
@Maryellen Sacco Power thanks so much for the advice! Making it Sustainable is such a good point thanks Queen!
@Melissa Reilly this is incredible advice!! Your are right mammy life is so different every day so I'll bear that in mind! I've been going back to and doing beginner workouts to help ease me back in!
Thanks Queens!!
