I love all the workouts so much and I'm finding it hard to even want to take a rest day! Is anyone else feeling the same? 🥵🌶
and how important is it to take one?
I walk everyday along side doing the workouts and I've managed to start running 5k once a week!!! 😍😍 (Never in my life have I been able to run 5k without stopping, so I think the stamina I've gained from the workouts for the past year nearly have helped!) ♥️
@Louise McEntee aw I love the workouts but also love my rest days, I usually take two rest days a week and I personally think it's super important to give your body time to recover so you can come back stronger the next day 🙌🏻 I usually do a wee walk on my rest days too which I find helps with the recovery 💕🙌🏻 I think it's really important to give our bodies a chance to recover and I really do feel that after my rest days I'm so ready to get back into a workout and give it 110%! Before QDQ I used to struggle to take my rest days and felt like I had to work out every day to get results but I just got so tired and definitely wasn't giving anywhere near 100%. Definitely would recommend scheduling 1 or 2 days in the week for active rest or even stretching with Esther 🙌🏻💕
Ong 5km queen you should be so proud of yourself! Well done 👑👑
@Louise McEntee Louise I totally get you, there's so much choice, you nearly wouldn't want to skip a day! I am so envious of your 5km, I can't run 😂 I agree with@Niamh Byrne that the rest days are really important. I generally take two rest days per week. This week I did yoga on Sunday but that was a good stretch really and not a workout. Its important to give our bodies time to recover so that we can go into the next day/ week rested and ready to go! Xx
@Louise McEntee was having the exact same "problem" if we could call it that! So funny we've gone from 0 to 100 with QDQ! I would have never had a problem taking breaks from gym/classes/walks/runs before I joined in fact I'd take 6 month breaks at a time 😂 I done a few weeks straight of the workouts but mentally I think it exhausted me and then my body followed suit! So I usually take a Friday off as a treat after the week at work but still do a little walk!
I was so tired this morning I didn't get up for the class even though I am more of a morning person than anything so an impromptu rest day as I felt my body needed it! It's definitely important for recovery to have one or two I think in the week but u could do active rest days, no workouts but a walk or yoga ect😊
@Louise McEntee 5knis an amazing achievement. Well done. Keep it up.
The yoga on a Sunday is amazing. It's such a great stretch especially after a week of intense exercises. I'd highly recommend incorporating that into your rest day.
@Sinead Bergin Its so fab! Love a good stretch! 🧘♀️
Thanks girls!! I've started to take Sunday as my rest day, with a little walk! Definitely well needed!
