Should I Workout on Holiday?

Your summer holiday should be a time to relax, switch off and make memories with your family or friends but unfortunately for some of us, with this comes a little bit of anxiety about getting into a bikini or swimsuit. We all know this feeling a little too well and social media and Facetune definitely doesn’t help to ease these feelings.

Not only that but some of us feel like we’ve worked so hard in the lead up to summer that we don't want to ‘ruin’ or ‘lose’ all of our progress while on our holiday. And so begs the question ‘should I workout while on holiday?’

There is no ‘one answer fits all for this’ queens. Some of us are those who love to get up at dawn for a run on the beach and explore their holiday location by hiking or cycling around. Some of us want to leave our Fitbit at home and only move from the sun lounger to the bar and back. Everybody is different and some people will feel better after a little movement while on vacation and some of us feel better after a week of pure and utter rest.

If you are feeling insecure or worried about putting on your bikini for first time firstly - !STOP! Queen’s don’t do negative self-talk! Put on the bikini and wear it with confidence. Every Queens is beautiful and honestly, ladies nobody is judging or looking at you but love that main character attitude!

If you are worried about losing or ruining progress by treating yourself to some cocktails and yummy food, think about it this way; it’s 7 days out of 365. 7 days of yummy food and making memories with your family and friends. You have the other 358 days to workout and eat healthy.

Life is short queens so enjoy it while you can whether you are active or resting while on holiday! You won't look back at age 85 regretting that you didn’t workout on your holiday in 2023. Leave the guilt at home and go enjoy your well-deserved holiday!
