Staying motivated and having mental strength is what makes your fitness journey a successful one.
Over the years I definitely struggled with loving my body and exercise, using it more as a punishment for what I ate, a desire to be unhealthily thin and something I could control in my life.
Thanks to a positive and strong mindset, I got through the worst, I’m now stronger, fitter and healthier than ever. More than that, this year 2020 I have a new found love for fitness, I honestly love every workout, even the hormonal ones. I know my body can handle any challenge life throws at it because Queens don’t Quit.
To help you succeed, here’s how to turn around the things that could be holding you back:
1. Not believing in yourself.
You’re only as successful as you believe you can be. However, you’re worthy and capable of ANYTHING – you’ve just got to believe in yourself.
As soon as I stopped doubting myself and allowed myself to get uncomfortable, I started achieving my goals and turning dreams into reality. It takes work and practice, but you’ve got to look at what you’ve got and how that can help you move forward.
It's time to call out your inner critic, stop comparing yourself to others and embrace the fear. I promise, you are worth it.
2. Focusing on negatives.
Oer-analysing every situation and focusing on things you do wrong (instead of right), it’s NOT helpful. No NO my queens.
Trust me this toxic behaviour will hold you back and will stop you from achieving happiness and success. So I beg you: let go of the past, focus on the future and start envisioning everything you want and CAN achieve. When you feel that negativity build up, stop focus on something positive, pay yourself a fabulous compliment and fix your crown.
3. Forgetting about self care.
Reward yourself for the things you do right. Have you smashed a week of workouts? Stuck to the Christmas Challenge, maybe even hit up all the burpees. Spend a bit of that extra time catching on you, that maybe sitting reading your fav magainze, popping on Netflix or having a long hot bath. What ever you enjoy doing, make time for it.
4. Thinking you don’t deserve it
Firstly, you do! Self-confidence and motivation go hand in hand. if you need people to remind you, write your feelings in our Queens Forum for support. Our Queens community is made up of strong, loyal and inspiring ladies, who support and encourage each other every day. I am truly proud. As soon as you believe in yourself, you’re gonna crush every workout and reach your fitness goals – which will have its own extra positive effect.
