Why we need to embrace our weekends off.

The weekend is here FINALLY but what will I do? How can I make this weekend not feel like another weekday?

Firstly SWITCH OFF, yes we said it SWITCH OFF. Let your mind and body completely relax, enjoy not setting that early alarm, answering emails, replying to texts, panicking about the next question that is going to be asked.

Allow yourself to be a little selfish and just stop. Queens you get two days off until it all starts again Monday, so embrace them while you can and enjoy your days off that little bit more.

Start your weekend off right and join in on our weekend workouts. Saturday we have Maeve’s ‘2021 Toned Arms and Bum’ class at 9:30am and Sunday our ‘Wind Down Yoga’ with our incredible yoga coach Esther.

Take this weekend to practise some self-care, because let me tell you something Queen “If you don’t take care of yourself, no one else will”.

Selfcare is so important it teaches us a lot about ourselves and provides us with insights into what we need to be the best version of ourselves. It helps us cope better with stress and to prioritise what's really important.

Here is our favourite self care tips for this weekend:

  • Why not, give yourself a pedicure or a manicure.
  • Read a book or magazine for an hour.
  • Stand outside and breathe in some fresh air.
  • Take a bubble bath, go on you deserve it.
  • Pick or buy a bouquet of fresh flowers.
  • Take a leisurely walk with no step goal
  • Put on a face mask.

We ask you, our Queens to try some of the above this weekend and let us know how you get on.

Remember: tomorrow is a new day, saying ‘no’ is ok, kindness is free, everyone’s journey is different and beauty and strength come from within.
