Where are we Seeing Progress??

  • Just interested in knowing the different ways we are measuring progress...?

I started lockdown with quite poor fitness level. I went out running with the OH and couldn't last half a kilometre without feeling like I was going to have an asthma attack!🥵 I set a goal that at the end of lockdown that I would be able to run a 3.5km route without stopping.

I haven't been running regularly but have been a consistent member of Team Queen and thanks to@Maeve Madden and her phenom workouts, I did it! Now to speed up my time and maybe work towards a whole 5k 😱

  • @Rhiannon Howells well done!

Of course you can make it! You go girl!!!

  • @Rhiannon Howells well done you. Great achievement so happy for u. 👏👏👏👏

  • @Rhiannon Howells  I mastered the 5 k run over lockdown it took pure determination I used to go at half 7 in the morning 5 days a week  so nobody would see me ha ha .. it took about 2 months before I was comfortable with it at the start I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest ... but I don't run everyday now because I am back at work and 2 I started loosing an awful lot of weight on my face it just didn't suit me .. as much as I enjoy the buzz of being super fit I like my shape and my face ha ha so I find my workouts with Maeve amazing and have kind of gone back to enjoying my five k walk with my dog and maybe 2 runs a week.. so I suppose what I am trying to say running that 5 k didn't have the benefits to my overall shape and look of my body that I thought it would but of course for your over health it does .. and remember there is very little difference in the calories you burn on a five k walk as aposed to a 5 k run so don't beat yourself up x

  • @Sinead Healy oh I'm definitely not beating myself up. It's taken me until my mid/late 30s (more mid than late...still!!) to just appreciate what I can do and take my time. I'm loving mixing it up and measuring progress in terms of fitness! Well done on reaching the five k but I think there's a bigger well done for loving your face! I feel so much better discovering new things that bring me happiness and in that respect, sounds like we are like minded! Ironically...I'm not a fan of running but wanted an extra challenge! What's wrong with me?!? 😂😂

  • @Rhiannon Howells ha ha I love a good challenge as well let us all know when you make that 5 k 😍xx
