The struggle was real today!


  • Hi all!

     

    Found lean legs so tough today, first time I felt like I was going to have to stop during a workout as just wasn't able! Logically I knew it was as I did a lot last week and needed to foam roll/do more yoga than I did, I hadn't eaten enough today before the workout and also it was spicy! Logically.... but still had a sulky head on me for longer than I would have liked! 

    Think it's also a combination of lockdown fatigue (live in the countryside and literally only leave the house for walks and to do the shopping for my parents once a week) and that I haven't seen any amazing results what with my love of chocolate, prosexy and wine!!! 

    Anyways, am gonna dust myself off, and get ready for Sweaty 7s at 6 as some heavy lifting can only help too!!! 

     



  • @Sharon Scully awh girl I'm feeling the same!! Just drained but I'm about to do workout now and may follow with sweaty 7s. Feel demotivated now but I know once I've done it, I'll feel a million times better!!! Keep on going queen, tomorrow will be a better day fingers crossed!!! X

  • @Sharon Scully Heya Queen, leaner legs 2.0 was a tough one. I wld class myself as being advanced & I did find it tough. U r not alone doll I think a lot us r feeling a bit low at mo. A mixture of lockdown weather & the time of year. But remember Queens r always here. So always give us a shout. Anytime Sharon. 💕💕🙌🙌🙌I hope u enjoyed Sweaty 7s it was a killer. 👑 👑 👑 ❤️❤️❤️

What a way to start the week!!@Sharon Scully We all have our days and some days the workouts will feel tough and@Audrey Browne is right - it's nearing the end of lockdown and the anxiousness surrounding it as well as the weather! Chin up, you have us queens 💗


  • Oh ladies you are all so wonderful and supportive, thank you so so much! I lifted as heavy as possible during Sweaty 7s and felt great, with arms of jelly by the end!!!! I will never take for granted having had these workouts and this group to keep me focussed, entertained, and motivated, as well as fit, strong and mostly energised!! So glad I powered through and didn't quit during it. Well done to everyone else today who got through both workouts, and a Monday of Mondays!!!!

  • @Sharon Scully Sharon, omg my legs are STILL sore from that Monday class.  I havnt had sore legs in a few months, but I have upped the level for these last few weeks, I want us to finish this year super strong and we will.  Remember this is good, if its hard that means you have grown so strong and this will only make you fitter and stronger.  If it was easy then would we really be challenging our body??? We want the workouts to be hard, we want to push and fight to get through the reps. If you stop, no worries I stop all the time.  The non stop hiit last night was might intense and I stopped a few times, again similar, hadnt fueled properly, legs wr sore.  Its still Queening, you know why?? because Queens dont quit


  • @Maeve Madden thank you so much! And don't get me wrong- I bloody loved the workout!!!! I love that you are constantly pushing us, increasing the difficulty level/speed/reps etc and that you work on new songs for us and come up with new routines, and are trying to vary workouts- it really is so very appreciated!!!! And whilst I had a small strop I kept going; I took an active rest day yesterday and just did some walking, and now feeling fresher and ready to get back at it today! 

    These workouts have been giving me life since March, and I have to ask- have you been working on your Queen's speech for us for December?!?!?!
