Time to Queen! | MaeveMadden

Time to Queen!

  • @Megan Hunter If there is any class that you know will make you absofreakinglutely feel amazing after it is Combat Queens!!! Like I would say even if I only put 10% effort in I would still be loving it, but don't you just get so caught up in Maeve's energy then too and it makes you put that bit extra in!

Not to sound too mother-like(!), but just make sure you are getting plenty of water in, try get one or two earlier than normal nights sleep, and just make sure to look after yourself too. We don't want you burning out! If you need to do one or two less workouts this week so be it, don't beat yourself over it as sometimes taking a rest day is even more beneficial! Take care x

  • @Sharon Scully oh its so good. Haven't missed one since the challenge began 😁 so much fun!

I felt the motherly vibes from that and I liked it tbf Sharon 😂 thank you I will look after myself, I promise! Thank you yet again for being around to chat to.

  • @Sharon Scully brilliant advice. Thank you.

  • @Sharon Scully brilliant advice. I love reading the different comments.

  • Did week 5 go the way I planned? Nope. Did I give up? Hell no, queens don't quit!

I had planned to up my classes from 3 in the week plus meditation / yoga on a sunday to 5 in a week plus sunday loveliness. I'm pretty sure I was hormonal last week and my body did not want it. So I did my normal 3 workouts and gave them my all, and I've just completed Sunday's yoga because I was enjoying a productive Sunday and wasn't in the right head space to truly enjoy yoga yesterday.

Been struggling with motivation for working from home today so treated myself to yoga and now I'm feeling fab.

This week (week 6) I'm challenging myself but a reasonable step up I think. 4 in the week and meditation on Sunday. I've just got my 3kg weights so I'll be stepping up that side of things too. Very excited still to do all the work outs. Tonight I'm doing Glutes & Gains because I love Perky Peach but have always been scared to try All Out Legs on a Monday in fear I would give up for the rest of the week.

Monday is a great day to reset goals etc. So I'm going to do my best!

  • So my IBS has been a struggle this week, I'm trying to reintroduce garlic into my diet which usually hates me, lots of bloating and pain. But.. I've just finished work out 3 of the week and the end of my garlic introduction so hopefully I can have it and start eating more flavourful foods again 😅

I LOVED Thee HIIT Class, so much fun. Never done the originals like vegabus etc before so that was a nice change. Glutes and Gains, Combat Queen and Thee HIIT in one week, I'm trying not to be too hard on myself because I don't see a lot of change fat wise around my stomach or legs, but at the start of the year I would have died trying to do one of those classes giving it my all.

Things I am LOVING: More energy, loving the routine of it (WFH since March 2020), my shoulders and arms have definitely become more defined and I'm still absolutely buzzing to smash week after week. I've never stuck to an exercise programme this long!!

  • @Megan Hunter there are so many positive things that you are loving. This is progress that you should be proud of. Well done. 💙👑🙂

  • @Sinead Bergin Thank you. I'm having a rough day and this proper made me smile 😘

  • Week 8 I cannot believe it! I'm still loving every single part of this lovely community of women (queens).

I'm not seeing massive changes on the scales (bitch in the bathroom) so I decided to take some pictures instead. Seeing some definition in my shoulders and arms with a little less podge on my stomach.
