Help! Sore hands | MaeveMadden

Help! Sore hands

  • I seem to be getting a pain in my right hand that shoots up my palm towards my ring finger, it happens whenever I'm doing a lot of planks, downward dog etc, I can do a few but it seems to get worse the more I do it. Has anyone else had this? Any advice?

  • @Megan Hunter u poor Queen, thats very uncomfortable for u. OK so Maeve recommends to spread ur fingers nice a wide when we r doing Downward dog, long arm planks, push ups, mountain climbers & burpees or any exercise where we have to put pressure on our hands. It actually does work. Regarding the plank just make sure that ur elbows r directly under shoulders, with ur hands flat out with fingers spread wide. An additional tip for u that worked for me when I suffered like u was to use a towel just as a cushion between the hard floor & my hands & elbows. Finally don't forget to stretch ur fingers & wrists before workout also. Hope this will help Megan. Take care Queen 👑 👑 👑 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

  • Also, the inside of your elbow should be turned in and facing each other rather than the inside of your elbow facing forwards. I hope that makes sense.

  • @Audrey Browne I always have my fingers spread out and I've tried holding my weight differently but it always seems to happen. Find it very hard to continue which is getting disheartening. How do I stretch my fingers and wrists? Ill give the towel a try thank you!

  • @Megan Hunter Queen I'm gutted for u. Hopefully the weight isn't too big Megan as I used to suffer those aches when the dumbbell handgrip part was too wide. I have a few exercises that I used below if u want to try them. Also I found stress balls were fantastic for hand & wrist stretch. My best go to for my fingers was a pen, u know the way u can move the pen in & around it fingers. Its brilliant. I'll upload pics of exercise for u Queen. Mind urself pet. 👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️

  • @Audrey Browne thank you so much for these, I'll give them a go.
