Anyone else feel zoned out after yoga?

  • Hey all you lovely lot,

I'm probaby going to sound absolutely bonkers but I'm going to ask anyway because I'm really intrigued by it!

The past couple of yoga sessions I've made the mistake of doing them right in the middle of my day and after doing them, I can't do anything for the rest of the day! I just feel quite out of it and it takes me at least half an hour to be able to muster the energy to get up off the mat afterwards. I'm going to try and do it right before bed next time so I can just throw on my PJs and roll into bed.

Does anyone else feel like this? I never feel like this after a HIIT or strength session- only yoga! It is such a good feeling but really weird at the same time. Anyone got any ideas as to why I feel like this? Is it all in my head haha?!

    Much Queen Love,

    Erin x

  • @Erin Cooper no yoga is very much focused on your breathing and slowing down and connecting with yourself as well as engaging in stretches, flexibility and mobility. So yes if you are feeling all zen after yoga that is a great thing. Keep enjoying it.

  • @Erin Cooper that is totally normal queen as sinead said, it's all about grounding yourself and slowing things. I try do yoga at night ur just on sundays! Its defo working for you queen, that's a great sign!!!! Xx

  • Phew! Glad it's doing me good then! Will definitelty try before bed next time and hopefully I'll get a really good sleep

  • @Erin Cooper  I'm the same and that is part of why I love it; I usally do Esther's class mid-day on Sunday and then just chill out for the rest of the day! I follow Cole Chance yoga classes on YouTube and she has morning ones that I do once a week, they are less zen and more about waking the body up slowly, getting a stretch on and getting the energy flowing a bit.

  • @Sharon Scully Oh! I'll need to have a look- thanks!

  • Yeahhhyyyy Queen, isn't it the best feeling...like slightly tipsy hahah!! Total power of yoga zen 🧘‍♀️

Enjoy it ❤️ And yeah maybe move to bed time and you'll sleep like a log!! Haha

  • P.s. it's like a trance isn't it ❤️🙏🧘‍♀️

  • @Katie Rynne That is exactly what it's like!x
