Best low impact workouts?

  • Hi there,

I am 4 weeks in and was loving all the workouts especially Combat queens and circuits. My only sanity as homeschooling 4 kids and was escaping to garage to get them done! Unfortunately I have hurt the top of my left foot and can’t bear weight on it very well... have been advised rest, ice and elevation for little while. devastated as can’t even get out for a walk 😩just wondering if any of the workouts are very low impact and I can still do? thinking sweaty sevens and maybe the toning one? thanks all!

  • @Sarah Buckley oh I'm so sorry to hear about your injury queen!

The absolute best thing you can do is stay off it as much as you can and it will get better so much quicker.

Pilates is very low impact but will still have you seeing results and you could do 2-3 of the classes a week while you were recovering. I would modify any planks to on your knees and forearms - walk the knees back so your bum is as low to the ground as you can hold - you'll still get all the benefits of the core training without the weight bearing on your foot 😘

  • Yes Pilates is brilliant. Very much so a low impact class. Try the yoga. Sweaty Sevens is mostly just working the arms and core. Francesca's class is low impact but has squats in it. What about trying the beginner class too as these are lower impact moves than the higher intensity of Maev's other classes.

  • @Sinead Corcoran Thanks so much for response Sinead! Had to go get it looked at and xrayed and have a stress fracture. Will be feet up for a while I think. Hopefully back to it soon 🤞🤞🤞 x

  • @Sinead Bergin Thanks a mill Sinead for response. Have a stress fracture but will hopefully be fighting fit soon 🤞 x

  • @Sarah Buckley rest rest rest as much as you can and you'll be back bouncing around in no time! ❤️❤️
