Which resistance band size to use? | MaeveMadden

Which resistance band size to use?

  • Hi queens,

I am looking to buy one of the new resistance bands but not sure what size to get, any advice on how to choose between light, medium or heavy? Thanks x

  • @Michelle Lawless if you've never used resistance bands before I'd probably go for the light, Maeve's light band is more of a light/medium and it definitely gives a burn! I only moved onto my medium band half way through the challenge and I had been using my light band and other resistance bands before that. It's pretty heavy but if you want to get it as a goal to set for yourself to move up maybe it's a good idea to go for two strengths? I use my medium band most of the time now for strength classes but often for Maeve's classes or if I'm struggling on a given day I'll swap back to the light one! I hope this helps. It's very hard to explain the strengths but the light one definitely gives a big burn and personally I think the medium is a decent step up from the light. I've just ordered the heavy band but I'm a bit scared to be honest 😂😂😂

not sure if this helps queen but I hope it does, happy shopping!! x

  • @Michelle Lawless totally agree with niamh,  the light band would be best starting it! Its fairly hard to start with and then you could move to medium after that! I got the combo of light and med when they came out first! You will love them queen, do good and supportive!!!!! Xx

  • I've ordered medium and heavy and now I'm scared 😂

  • @Niamh Byrne thank you SO much for this, really appreciate all that info. I can't wait for them to arrive, my current band is so flimsy, although I might regret that mid burn 🥴🤣.

    xx

  • @Carmel Mulvany Amazing, thanks so much Carmel. Looking forward to the 🔥 xx
