Recovery drink | MaeveMadden

Recovery drink

  • Hi girls, Does anyone take a recovery drink for after workouts and if they do what would ye recommend? Or Is it even necessary? Thanks ☺️

  • Hi @Jacqueline Nee - I have Revive Zest Active after my morning workout, but to be honest at the level we are at I wouldn't think it is necessary really to have a recovery drink. I would have a meal with a decent amount of protein in it soon after the class, and then all the water every day. Suppose it kind of depends on your diet but if you're eating a decent amount of fruit and veg, and getting a decent amound of protein in, drinking lots of water and getting a decent sleep thats a great place to aim to be at! That'd be my personal opinion, but if someone does have a good suggestion of a recovery drink I'm all ears!!!

  • @Jacqueline Nee hi Jacqueline, im also a revive active fan I have it before the workout. usually around half the sachet and half after or during.. Ummmm I would say if you are in a rush and not able to have food after your workout then probably a protein shake would be beneficial.  Other wise I dont really think so.. I take something called vital proteins they have this collagen drink I picked it up in whole foods a few weeks ago and started taking it, there is 0 taste and ive been mixing it with the revive or just with water... Post workout I always have eggs and toast, a good balance of carbs and a bit of protein will aid in recovery

  • Thanks so much@Sharon Scully and@Maeve Madden ☺️ Good to know, Great to get some feedback, Thanks gals!
