I have been meaning to order some new years for a while now, but I don't wear jeans a lot so I've put it off. Put my old ones on the other day and noticed how tight and uncomfortable they are (mainly because my bum has grown 🍑 and my body shape is completely different to when I bought the jeans).
So.. I did an asos order and was trying to find a pair of nice high waisted jeans that weren't too tight around my stomach, my current jeans are very tight and it makes my IBS bloating flare up.
Anyway... long story short, they came earlier, all a size up because I wanted comfort, order 4 pairs, 1 fits but look hideous, and usually I would be heart broken and think I needed to stop eating immediately. This time my instant reaction was, fuck this, I'm fabulous and I'm working really hard. These can go back and my search will continue. Not even a little bit of a negative thought about myself.
Thank you to @Maeve Madden for always showing us that self love is so important and it really doesn't matter what size you wear. Thank you to all of the queens who always comment on and like my random posts (like this waffle). I appreciate you all and I'm so made up that I'm in a much healthier place.
K.. Bye 😂
@Megan Hunter Yesss Megan, great to her that you didnt beat yourself up over it! I think my mindset is changing too and I am becoming more content in my body and how I look. The struggle to find good jeans is unreal!! I absolutely hate shopping for them. All my current jeans are so old and low/medium waist so they aren't very flattering at all. The sizing and fit of jeans has changed over the years too which doesnt make it any easier to shop for them. I honestly dont know what size I am anymore 😅 8,10, 12, who knows?! 🤷 All I know is that what ever the size as long as I am happy and comfortable in them, thats the main thing.

@Ashley Jordan Abosutely loving the change of mindset, only get one body and I've spent enough years hating it for no bloody reason.
I'm a proper pear shape as well, so I settled on high wasted skinny jeans about 5 years ago and now baggy straight leg things are in which make me look wide and shorter haha. Classic long body short legs syndrome. Might just get some maternity skinny jeans, allow some room for that bloated belly 😂
So glad you are on the same wave length as me, we just have to appreciate everything we have and roll with it!
@Megan Hunter Omg isnt it so annoying. I have been trying so many mom style jeans because they are all the rage now and I swear they just do nothing for me! Im going to have to admit defeat and go back to the trusted skinny jeans even if I dont really like my bag calves in them 😌 I have only recently started wearing high waisted jeans and leggings and I am loving them I must admit. If you get a comfy pair that is. Nothing worse than your belly being squished into tight clothes and like you said it only makes the bloating worse!
Yep, I am definitely on the same wave length dont worry, as I am sure a lot of the Queens are too XX
Us women have an awful time of it dont we 😂 Lads just go out and buy jeans willy nilly no problem and it can take us months to find one decent style, that fits too!
@Ashley Jordan oh the mom style jeans are the 4 that have just laughed at my big ass and tiny legs today. Screw that style we don't need them.
I usually just wear dresses because they are SO much easier!
