Coming back from injury!

  • Hi Queens!

So I've signed up to the Spring Challenge and just completed Bringing Sexy Back with a few modifications to protect my lower back.

I'm using the Spring Challenge to help my recovery from a seriously nasty S1 nerve entrapment that I suffered back in January that left me with nerve damage, meaning that I haven't had full use of the muscles in my left leg for a month and I've only just regained the feeling in my left foot. I'm still not fully healed because the nerves can take twelve weeks to fully regenerate and they keep shocking me at the orginal trap site to remind me they're not fully healed so I have to be careful but my phsyio has said I can do exercise as long as it doesn't trigger pain.

So I'm fighting back because this Queen refuses to quit!! No jumping allowed and I have to be super careful with lower body movements but I am there for the beginner moves to get my mobility back.

I'm starting this thread so I can add some progress pics. Whilst I haven't technically changed much on the scales I can really tell I've lost my tone so I'm keen to get it back...but safely!

  • Well done you! I started the Challenge on Tuesday having gotten completely out of routine - I had COVID in January. I really enjoyed the Bringing Sexy Back class - my first time trying it.

I hope your recovery goes well 😊

  • @Chloe Smith best of luck in your recovery Chloe 💪
