Apple Watch settings

  • I'm setting my watch for HIIT sessions unless I'm doing yoga. Is that right, or should I be setting it for Strength Training?
p.s just did did yesterday's all out Legs, and I feel FAB 😍😍😍😍xx

  • @Mary Casale I do the same, unless you do the Pilates class, Im not sure what the weight training one is like, that might not as fast paced, but I do HIIT for most of the classes.

  • I do HIIT for most classes, but for sweaty 7s lately I do strength training as its low impact :-)

  • @Mary Casale hi, there is also a setting for barre on the Apple Watch :) if you select add workout at the bottom of the workout list you will find it there x

  • I don't think it matters either way! I think it just changes what shows on the face and categorises it. For example if you put it on outdoor run it'll show you a distance but you would probably still burn the same amount of calories if you chose HIIT but it just wouldn't give you a distance... I think your calorie burn would be the exact same no matter workout you choose! Hope that makes sense 😂

  • @Beth Haughian That's the way it is for Fitbit- the categorisations are only for your own purposes, it doesn't have any impact on calories, heart-rate etc. (By own purposes I mean so you have them categorised as eg HIIT and can review back by that).
