Biceps Curls!! | MaeveMadden

Biceps Curls!!

  • Just finished my first Toned with Tracey class which included one of my biggest gym fears.... biceps curls!!! I remember back in 2019 lowering and lowering my weight until they didn't have anything small enough in the gym!! I was so embarrased that I just couldn't bend my arms!!

    BUT

I was absolutely smashing through with 3kg weights!!! I'm over the moon, I never imagined I could do 1 curl with 3kg!!! Who have I become!!!!!

So.... any tips on how to stop getting the shakes after strength exercises??

  • Hey Lizzie!👑 That's amazing, well done 💪🙌

I get the shakes after trying a new exercise or when I really push myself. As I get used to new exerices it generally goes away until I really push myself again.

I find giving my body time to recover helps (so take a rest day) and then also make sure you get enough protein in after the workout and in the day after. Carbs are good too - basically rest and eating enough to help your muscles recover! Also loads of water helps 😊 Hope that helps 😊

  • @Lizzie O oh Queen delighted u enjoyed Toning with Tracey  & Lizzie smashing it with the weights girl. Whooohooo. The shaking is part of the process. Ur arms r prob not used to that style of exercise. But a good stretch of ur arms will sort the shaking which by the way is a gd sign, it shows that the exercises r working. Have a great Week 6 Lizzie 👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️

  • @Lizzie O wooohoooo lift those weights queen, well I always use the 2-3kg so dont be stressing you do you and build that strength up...

The shaking can be muscle fatigue, dehydration maybe low blood sugar level, if you didnt fuel before, if you are new to a certain type of training.. So make sure you have your hydration station at the ready, if you have just begun know your body will get used to it...

    love x
