Starflower oil for PMT, bloating and mood | MaeveMadden

Starflower oil for PMT, bloating and mood

  • I mentioned in teh HIIT class this morning that if you suffer really badly with hormone related moodiness, or even a monthly massive dip in your mood try starflower oil!

I was told to take evening promrose oil before and had tried it then was in Holland and Barret one day and the girl at the counter asked me if I had tried staflower oil as they had no evening primrose oil, which I hadnt even heard of, and she siad if I was taking it for hormonal reasons that it is even more potent... so I gave it a go!

It really did work! I would be like an antichrist in the week up to my period anything could set me off.

now I wouldnt know by my mood at all.

My sister was getting really really low periods where she was going to go to the doctor about it as she not only was loosing her head she was getting really depressed and then would be ok for a week.
I got her 3 months of it and she cant get over how effective it was!

I know I sound like I am in some sort of pyramid scheme but I seriously it works!

Obviously you wont notice until you are taking it about a month. I notice when I stop taking it about a month later I am back to being a crazy bloated person!!

  • Hi!!

If you listen to Dr Doireann o Leary's podcast she has an interview with a gynaecologist who totally recommend s Starflower oil over evening primrose. U just reminded me so may go and get some !!!

    Anne

  • @Anne Hamilton Black I've been taking it for about 3 and a half months for my skin, my facialist recommended it the last time I saw her, back in November, because I had extremely dry skin from wearing masks so much. It has fixed the dry skin problem as she said it would repair my skin barrier. I wasn't aware that it would be beneficial for PMS, I always get one or two really moody days a month, they had stopped but I thought that might have been from not being in the office and under pressure. So glad to know that, thanks Anne! ❤️

  • @Anne Hamilton Black Fab I must give this a try - I get irregular periods but then when it does come, im a weapon before it - and its like a holy moly where did that outburst come from - think im as surprised as my husband, we now know its the 'friend' on route.

Im going to give this a whirl. If Dr Doireann o Leary recommends it too must be good.

    Thank you for sharing 💛

  • @Anne Hamilton Black woow defo give that a try!!!!! I just wish we could go somewhere alone for those few days and then nothing wud annoy us.....🤣🤣🤣
