FAKE TAN RECOMMENDATIONS | MaeveMadden

FAKE TAN RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Hey Queens!

Just wondering does anyone have any good fake tan recommendations? I usually use a gradual one that builds up over a couple of days but I hate all the forward planning involved. Anyone got any good recommendations for even one that develops well over night?

  • @Lauren McGuigan I have stuck to using gradual tan this summer and tbh its less messy and not streaking compared to the prep that goes into fake tan, the dove mouse is so handy!!

I know Maeve uses dripping gold but Im not sure if it develops the same on different skin as it simply doesnt develop on my legs, I end up using sally hanson over it to make my legs look normal!!
If you can try a few see if any of your friends have one you can use once?

I used to love Tan Organic as it doesnt have the toxins that regular tan has and doesnt smell like tan, I dont think you go as dark with it but I havent used it in a good while so not sure if they have changed it.

I think Coco brown is similar to the sosu one but they have a few different versions of them, its so hard to get a good recomendation online as most instagrammers get paid to say they are good!

  • @Lauren McGuigan I use the bare by vogue mousse, the medium in winter and the dark now, it's not excessively dark but I found my legs needed the dark one to colour!

The smell is not the worst and it wears off well, I've tried loads!! Wear off for me is the key, especially since joining the challenge, I'm sweating it all off🙈

I know maeve uses dripping gold, haven't tried it as I really dont like the sosu make up, but might chance a bottle!

  • Hey Lauren!

I don't tan very well both naturally or with product 😂 but the one that I have found that works for me is the BPerfect tan! Im using the Jacqueline Jossa 1 hour express one at the minute by then and really like it.

You can wash it off in an hour or leave it on as long as you want! I tend to do mine overnight and wash off the next day. It isn't the darkest or tans I don't think but I am really pale and white so it does the job for me!

Maeve posted a discount code yesterday on Instagram for dripping gold! I haven't used it but it always looks fab on her ☺️

  • Thanks girls! Yes I seen Maeve posted the code for dripping gold yesterday. Wondering if it's a sign! 😂

Suppose I'll have to try out a few and see what suits me - I appreciate all the suggestions! 😍 xx

  • @Lauren McGuigan Hey Lauren, I used the BPerfect Strawberry mousse tan and really liked it. The smell is nice at first but like most tans gets a bit pongy overnight, for me anyways as Im like a ball of fire in my sleep 😅 The only thing I dont like about it is it sticks to my knees and the wear off isnt always the best, however it does wash off quickly if you use an exfoliating mitt. I found it good on my hands and thats a plus for me because my hands are always a disaster with tan. A friend recently recommended the Bare by Vogue mousse in Dark so I have purchased but havent tried yet, am waiting till the heat dies down over the weekend or else I'll literally destroy the mattress if I put it on before bed 😂 Ill keep you posted 😊

  • @Ashley Jordan I love the bare by vogue!! Like you though, couldn't attempt to put it on these days though with the sweat dripping off me 24/7😆 just wondering if you have tried the bperfect tan remover? I need to get the dregs of mine off but I just want to get it all in one, either be white or tanned, at the  minute I'm a bit of both and its awful looking 🙈
