Accountability after a month off...

  • Hi Queens,

Hope everyone is doing well! It has been a while since I have been on due to some health issues and such but I took the month and now I am back tyring to keep myself accountable. I have struggled to get motivated to get back into it, and today I took the first step and did Combat Queens. It is still one of my favourite classes! It was definitely a lot harder than I remeber which bummed me out, but I am glad I am back! QDQ is truly an amzing community and I already feel a lot more motivated. The goal is to get back to being fit for Xmas as I am going to be back in London after not seeing family for almost 2 years! Thank you to all the queens on here who remind me of home and I am looking forward to more challenges! Hoping to be brave enough to show my progress soon!

Anyways! Stay safe and healthy everyone!

  • Hi Charlotte,

Glad to hear you are doing better! I understand the lack of motivation after having time off. I moved during the summer and went back to the office after working from home for a year. It took me 6 weeks to get my routine sorted and get back into it.

It's always going to feel a little harder at the start, but I promise it gets easier!! I found that if I put too much pressure on myself to be where I was before my break. So instead I began with the beginner moves just to rebuild my confidence and fitness. It helped me stay motivated and I was more inclinded to keep going back and before I knew it I was back to my old self! Don't feel you have to rush back to where you were, at the end of the day any workout is better than no work out :)
