Spring challenge - here we go!! | MaeveMadden

Spring challenge - here we go!!

  • Hi Queens....new Queen here!

Very nervous about starting this but I had to bite the bullet...

Before picks are below. Never shared any picks before also so this will keep me accountable 😂

    👑🌶

  • No need to be nervous Queen, you look amazing 🤩 !! And you're awesome!
So glad you're here, queening 👸 with us all!! Any q's please just shout!! 😘

  • @Moya Murton well done for having the courage to do this (and you look amazing already as it is!) - the pics are a great way if you think oh maybe I haven't progressed at all, but if you are approaching it consistently you will look back and definitely notice the difference! Wishing you the best of luck with the challenge!

  • Before pic.. Next time ill leave flash off

  • @Gabrielle O'BRIENO'BRIEN  Ill. Leave the flash off next time.  Looking to loose the wobble. 😁👑Face pic

  • Looking fab Queen!!@Gabrielle O'BRIEN can't wait to share our goals and experiences during the spring challenge- we gonna nail it - Queen style!!!! 👸😘👸

  • @Moya Murton @Gabrielle O'BRIEN welcome to both of u Queens. Great to have u on board. Nothing to be nervous about we're all in it together 🥰 looking forward to see how ye r getting on. U're going to love it here. Everyone is fantastic. Queens supporting Queens. 👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️

  • Hello everyone! Did my first work yesterday and a gentle one this morning. Feeling better for it already. I've taken pics but not confident enough to share yet but I will down the line! I've taken on the spring challenge but im not sure how it works. Can anyone advise please?

  • @Nikki Johal Hi Nikki- absolutely no need to post pics here at all, never any pressure, it's a wholly personal thing! It can be good for yourself to have to compare is all, especially on a day where you might not feel you have made any progress but then you compare and you can see the difference. Everyone will have different goals- somewill purely based it on fitness, on strength, on measurements, on clothes fit etc, and there is no need to ever share your personal goal!

Once you have subscribed to the challenge all you need to do is to complete 3 workouts (live or from the library workouts available from the date the challenge started) for the duration of the challenge and that is it - the background team will be able to see from the logs who completed workouts to know if you have completed the 3.

  • My before image

  • My before image am so not technical couldn't get words and pic together.
gained a lot weight over Xmas.started hrt and I've been eating a lot of lindts chocolate. Anyone else on hrt can give me some tips xx

  • @Brenda Mckay it took me a few weeks to even figure how to comment on the Lives (and sometimes I still cant figure it out!) I hear ya on the Lindt- how yummy they are! I'm still happily finishing up some Christmas chocolates and feeling no guilt!

I hope you find someone with some guidance on HRT, if you felt up to it or something you wanted to build up to- you could raise a new topic in the Queens chat on the forum with HRT in the title, and it might get some more traction there

  • @Brenda Mckay also you look amazing, a good starting point to progress from!

  • Hi Queens, first week back for me and welcome new queens. You will notice a big difference in 2 weeks with fitness level. I couldn’t wait to get back to my morning workouts, it’s my time for me. Fiona

  • Finally back in the groove after Christmas and loving workout out again! (Currently finishing a delicious bar of m&m chocolate but no guilt!!) isolating due to covid in the house & team queen is a crutch for me!! Let's smash this challenge queens 👑👑👑

  • @Sharon Scully @Sharon Scully good idea I might try that hate to be always moaning bout hrt and mennapause. Waiting on hysterectomy just didn't realize how much effect it would have on my weight gain... though ur right was worth it for the lindtts they are my favs xx

  • @Brenda Mckay Aw but it is a massive thing, so try not be to hard on yourself when you do have a moan, cos in reality it is a life-changing thing to be going through, and every mental and physical aspect of it must be so so tough. Maeve is theeeee queen of body positivity, being open about changes our bodies go through etc etc so while what she talks about may not be specific to your situation it might be relatable too, and give you some comfort. Try not be too hard on yourself about any related weight-gain, I'm no expert but it sounds like it is slightly out of your control (and hell you deserve those Lindt!) but you are taking a small bit of control back here, and if not else I hope the workouts bring you a big smile, cos they really are just the best fun!

Always here if you need a chat!

  • @Niamh Ni Rinn eeek the isolating is so tough, but having this as an outlet is like having a friend by your side! I remember during the Summer I hadn't seen my family in months and at the end of one of the lives Maeve gave a high five towards the screen and I gave one back, and genuinely felt connected to someone for the first time in a while! (I then self-consciusly laughed at myself, and checked no-one had seen me!!!)

Also hope you manage to avoid Covid in the house. Stay safe!

  • @Brenda Mckay Queen I hear u. I've given away a huge amount of choc & there's still this to contend with 😩

  • @Brenda Mckay with regards to HRT I'm not on it but kind of all over the place at mo as my Hot flushes seemed to have stopped. So I don't know where I am at. I did join a Facebook "The Irish Menopause" which is very helpful. I did see though on this site that people who were working out a lot were seeing great benefits regarding slowing down of symptoms maybe that's why my hot flushes stopped I ran out of sweat 🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏😅. So Brenda Queen keep moving 👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️
